Conrad & Sons Guns is a family-run firearms shop in Imperial, Missouri, just south of St. Louis. We started the company in 2025 as a manufacturer. That is still the core of the shop: custom rifles built on the AR platform, including AR-15, AR-9, AR-10, AR-45, and the other configurations customers actually shoot.
We buy through distributors and sell firearms for less than the big-box stores. We can, because the overhead is small. No showroom floor, no mall rent, no counter full of people who have never built a rifle. Most complete firearms are ordered in. AR parts we actually have on the shelf are marked on the website as on hand. Customers have left more than 38 five-star reviews on Google.
Transfers came later, and for a plain reason. A friend who held an FFL became ill, and we took on his firearms transfer clients so those buyers were not left looking for a new dealer.
We are a Class 07 Federal Firearms Licensee and a Class 02 Special Occupational Taxpayer. That license lets us manufacture firearms and make and transfer National Firearms Act items, including suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and short-barreled shotguns. We plan to begin making our own suppressors in the first quarter of 2027.
The work is straightforward: rifles built to the job, transfers done right, and paperwork that will stand up if anyone asks. We take compliance seriously because the customer is the one who has to live with the gun after it leaves here.
I served with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department from 2002 to 2010. Patrol, Vice, Narcotics, Major Fraud, Intelligence, and the South Patrol detective bureau. I left in 2010 for a career in IT. I gave up the badge. I did not give up the gun.
I survived multiple officer-involved shootings that were fatal. What I learned on the street is what I teach: how to stay alive. I hold NRA instructor certifications, I am an active competition shooter, and I am an outdoor enthusiast. The classes are built from that, not from a script.
We run CCW and defensive pistol classes from January through April. Dates go up as each session is set.
The shop is by appointment only. Firearm transfers are typically Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Other days are reserved for stocking inventory and manufacturing.
Do not walk in because a carrier marked the package delivered. We log the firearm in our ATF software first, then we contact you to set the transfer. Call or email ahead for pickups, build consults, gunsmith drop-off, and training.

There is no multi-item discount on NFA. There is no transfer fee on Silencer Shop orders when you select Conrad & Sons Guns as your dealer. Only Silencer Shop suppressors may transfer on a Form 4473. All other suppressors go on an ATF Form 4.
Fees are due at pickup. We do not release a firearm until the paperwork, background check, and payment are complete. Firearms left past a reasonable window may incur a storage fee or be returned to the sender at your expense.
We will not assemble, coat, or repair a configuration we reasonably believe violates federal or Missouri law. If a project needs an NFA tax stamp, bring the approved paperwork. More answers are in our FAQ.
